Full control over manufacturing is essential to ensure the quality and durability of the posts. Planing (debarking) preserves the natural taper of the wood, giving it greater mechanical strength compared to milled posts.
Pressure treatment impregnates preservative agents deep into the core of the wood, protecting it against various types of attack. Autoclave treatment remains the most effective durability process, proven for over 80 years.
Specialist in the manufacture of planed Class 4 SP pine posts, RONDINO has developed a wide range of posts designed to meet the needs of vineyard trellising. Our products are available in various sizes, ranging from 1.50 m to 2.50 m in length and from 4/6 cm to 10/12 cm in diameter.
To achieve Class 4 SP, the wood must have a moisture content between < and 25% before autoclave treatment. For our part, we prefer air drying over artificial kiln drying.
